SHORT JOB DESCRIPTION
An Administrative Assistant shall serve as the internal accountant for the Church and shall assist the Pastor in the care and oversight of the Church and its membership. The church bookkeeper/treasurer shall be responsible for and shall maintain oversight of all financial and business transactions of the church. reports directly to the pastor.

A minimum of an associate degree in accounting from an accredited educational institution.

Experience/Skills:
Practical experience in fund-based accounting and account reconciliation, preferably in a church or church-related institution.
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Access and specific fund-based accounting software.
attention to detail and precision in account reconciliation and report generation.
good interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork and support of church ministries.
Written proficiency
Commitment to confidentiality regarding all account records pertaining to the church staff and membership, including but not limited to members’ personal data, Pastor and staff correspondence, appointments, salary and payroll records pertaining to the church staff and membership, including but not limited to members’ personal data, Pastor and staff correspondence, appointments, salary and payroll records.
It demonstrates Christian faith.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work with graphics
basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures and good organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
experience at the Ministry.
Working knowledge of Planning Center Online and Church Community Builder ( if not we are training you) .
Experience recruiting, training, and leading a high-octane volunteer team.
Experience planning and facilitating training, large events, and retreats.
Experience managing a ministry budget.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk and will occasionally be required to do some light lifting (up to 25 pounds).
